Instead, consider this a review in progress. Yes, in an ideal world they'd simply give me the game three weeks in advance and let me do my thing, but life is compromise. Ultimately, Konami and their PR agency in Australia were accommodating without being improper, but due to logistical restrictions there simply wasn't enough time for me to play enough of TPP to review it. I personally don't think jetlag and DVT leads to skewed higher review scores, but of course I'd say that, I'm one of them. If spending 20+ hours travelling Economy class across the world to spend three days locked in a hotel room could have allowed me to finish TPP, I'd have done it in a heartbeat. If agreeing not to spoil the shit out of a game is impropriety, then call me a cad.

There wasn't even a hint of impropriety, just the exercising of what I see as prudent security around the most important Konami release since Metal Gear Solid 4. That's what I did for two entire extended working days, playing until eventually the people at the office asked me to leave so they could go home and see their families. Instead I was offered access to a room in an office in Sydney where I could play the game completely uninterrupted. Australians were not invited to any such event - Konami doesn't give a single fuck about Australia, so it will be faster for me to buy a review copy at JB Hi Fi than to wait for one to arrive.

Apparently there was a review event of sorts for MGS: TPP. Before we begin, let's talk about the review conditions. With that said, there's room to talk about what I have seen of TPP.
